Claims Handling Expertise

The effective management and defence of claims has been a key concern for many of our Clients over recent years.  At Bridge we pride ourselves on being one of the few brokers that have their own experienced in house claims team.  Our Claims Executives have a wealth of experience in areas such as motor, liability claims, litigation, credit, large losses, property and business interruption.

All of our Clients have at least one dedicated Claims Executive which ensures the personal service we pride ourselves on.  We tailor our service to meet our Clients individual needs and we have a good relationship with insurers to ensure claims run smoothly; which is extremely important at those times when disaster strikes.

Our Team will work with you to ensure:-

  • Increased communication and partnership approach
  • Agreed handling procedures and service standard are put in place via our office/insurer’s claims staff and nominated third party Loss Adjusters (if appropriate)
  • Contact sheets/telephone details are provided for all nominated claims handling staff
  • Pro-active claim file management and regular case updates/reviews are undertaken where required

Over the year the following activities may be undertaken:-

On appointment

  • Agree specific processes and procedures for the reporting and handling of all claims
  • Audit and review where necessary of all outstanding insurer claims reserves to ensure that these are reasonable and accurate

Ongoing

  • Arrange for insurer confirmed claims experiences to be issued in a timely fashion in line with our renewal timeline
  • Liaison with existing broker to obtain all outstanding claim files
  • Provide ongoing individual claims file updates as required, e.g. changes in claims file reserves etc.
  • Hold periodic claims review meetings; designed to update you on the progress of all outstanding claims
  • Ensure full claims statistics (outstanding and settled claims files) are available on request
